Privacy Policy

JUUCE PRIVACY POLICY 

This Juuce Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) applies to the information and data that we collect and process about users of our Services, and those who communicate with us about our Services, interact with us on social media, or are subscribed to our marketing and informational communications.  

1. Definitions: 

a. Services– “Services” shall refer to: Juuce websites that link to this Privacy Policy, including any versions optimized for viewing on a mobile device (the “Sites”), Juuce Mobile Application (the “App”), our offering and your use of Juuce chargers (“Charger(s)”), and all of the features and services available through these channels. 

b. Customer/You- “Customer” refers to all parties who utilize any of the Services. This Privacy Policy shall use the terms “Customer” and “you/your” interchangeably. 

c. Juuce/Us- “Juuce” refers to Juuce, LLC, the provider of these Services and author of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy shall use the terms “Juuce” and “we/us/our” interchangeably. 

2. Information Collected:  

a. Information provided to use by the customer- Account registration, management, profile creation and modification, such as: 

  • name
  • e-mail address
  • phone number
  • postal address
  • other contact information
  • credit card and billing details (kept only by processing merchant, see 4.b. below)
  • billing address
  • Communications preferences
  • payment and transaction history

Optional personal information includes: 

  1. age
  2. gender
  3. current location 

b. Data on account access and use, as well as uploading content to the Services and other associated activities

c. Charger use data

d. Location Info and Charger Usage. Juuce automatically collects and stores location information from Customer’s device and from any Chargers Customers use. Juuce collects and stores the location information (e.g., city, state or zip code where available) associated with the IP address of the device Customers use to access the Services, as well as, with Customer permission, the mobile device’s location information using GPS or Bluetooth (you can change your location/Bluetooth settings for your mobile device; however, certain features may not be available through the App if you do so). 

e. Analytics: Juuce compiles and analyzes information derived from the use of our Services, such as aggregate usage patterns, user preferences, peak demand times, common routes and other information.

f. Social Media Platforms. Juuce also may collect information about Customers that we may receive from business partners, marketers, analysts and other sources to enable us to verify and update information contained in our records and better customize the Services. We may also collect information from credit reporting agencies to determine your creditworthiness, credit score and credit usage, in compliance with and to the extent permitted by applicable laws.

g. Referrals. Juuce may, from time to time, conduct a referral service so that Customers may introduce people they know to our Services, in accordance with applicable local laws. If Customers choose to use our referral service to tell someone about our Services, Juuce will provide you with a template message and referral code to send to your friend. We will not collect the referral’s information unless he/she signs up to use the Services with the referral code.

3. Information Use and Processing. Juuce use and processing of the information it receives from customers is limited to the following uses: 

a. To facilitate the proper operation and provision of services for customer service and support 

b. To send marketing communications 

c. To personalize user experiences 

d. To improve service 

4. Information Disclosure. The disclosure of Juuce’s collected information may occur in the following ways: 

a. Business Partners and Third Parties. Juuce will only share personal information with business partners or other third parties only with prior consent, including pursuant to an “opt-in” method. Customers may at any time withdraw consent or tell us to stop sharing your personal information with business partners and third parties by following the opt-out process described in the “Your Choices” section below.

b. Third-Party Service Providers. Juuce uses a variety of third-party service providers that perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting, billing and payment processing, push notifications, storage, bandwidth, content management tools, analytics, customer service, fraud protection, etc. Juuce does not store your credit card data and credit card data is only processed through a third party secure payment gateway.

c. General Business Operations. Where necessary to the administration of our general business, accounting, record keeping and legal functions, to our tax advisors, legal counsel and other professional services entities or agents.

d. Legal Compliance and Protection of Rights. Juuce may also use or disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) conform to applicable law or comply with legal process served on us or the Services; (ii) establish, protect and defend our rights or property, the Services or our users, including to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use, Rental Agreement, other agreements or policies, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved; and (ii) act under emergency circumstances to protect the personal safety of us, our affiliates, agents, or users of the Services or the public. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection.

e. Aggregate/Anonymous Information. We may share aggregate/anonymous information about use of the Services, including aggregated location information, with third parties, including our merchant partners, for their or our research, marketing, analytics and other purposes, provided such information does not identify a particular individual, such as by publishing a report on usage trends. The sharing of such data is unrestricted.

f. Potential Business Transfers. As Juuce continue to develop our business, we may seek to buy, merge, or partner with other companies. In such transactions, (including in contemplation of such transactions) user information may be among the transferred assets. If a portion or all of our assets are sold or transferred to a third party, customer information would likely be one of the transferred business assets. If such transfer is subject to additional mandatory restrictions under applicable laws, we will comply with such restrictions.

 

5. Cookie Use and Other Online Tracking Technology 

a. Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are transferred to the device’s hard drive through your web browser for record-keeping purposes and associate with small text files that we use to record certain information regarding Customer use of our online Services, Customer preferences and actions, and other device and usage data as described above. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for Customer to navigate our Sites, Apps, and Services, while others are used to enable a faster log-in process, personalize your use of the Services, or otherwise allow us to track Customer activities while using our Services. Many web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser’s setting to decline or block cookies if you prefer. If you delete your cookies or if you set your browser or device to decline or block these technologies, some features of the Services may not work or may not work as designed. 

b. Pixel Tags. Pixel tags are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, which are embedded invisibly on web pages or within emails. We or our service providers may use pixel tags in connection with our Services to, among other things, track the activities of users of the Site and App, help manage content, measure ad performance and compile statistics about usage. We or our service providers also use pixel tags in HTML emails to our customers to help us track email response rates, identify when our emails are viewed, and track whether our emails are forwarded. 

c. Analytics Services.  Juuce uses third-party analytics services, including Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), on our Services. Google Analytics uses cookies and other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with and use the Services, compile reports on user’s’ activity, and provide other services related to activity and usage. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a return visitor, and any referring website or app. To learn more about Google’s analytics services and to learn how to opt out of tracking of analytics by Google, click here.  

d. Do-Not-Track. Your browser or device may include “Do-Not-Track” settings or functionality. Currently, our systems do not recognize browser “Do-Not-Track” requests. Juuce’s information collection and disclosure practices, and the choices that we provide to customers, will continue to operate as described in this Privacy Policy, whether or not a Do-Not-Track signal is received. However, you may disable certain tracking on our Sites, as discussed in this section (e.g. by disabling cookies), and you may opt-out of certain third party ad networks as described below. 6. Changes to Privacy Policy. Juuce reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in the law, our data collection and use practices, the features of our Services, or advances in technology. Juuce will make the revised Privacy Policy accessible through the Services and updating the “Effective Date” for the Privacy Policy. If we make a material change to the Privacy Policy, Customer will be provided with appropriate notice in accordance with legal requirements. By continuing to use the Services, you are confirming that you have read and understood the latest version of this Privacy Policy. 

7. California Privacy Rights. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits customers of Juuce who are California residents to request certain information, regarding the disclosure of their personal information (as defined by California law) to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, or in the alternative, provides that California users are given the right to opt-in to the sharing of their personal information for direct marketing purposes or the cost-free right to opt out of any such sharing. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 2 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; for example —

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

Cache

This site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.
