Download the JUUCE App or tap/insert your card on the point of sale
A portable charger will eject
Charge your device using the IOS, MICRO-USB or USB-C cables (make sure the charger is turned on by pressing the button on the side)
Return the portable charger into any empty slot at any JUUCE station
You can either return it back into the same station you rented from, or you can simply scan the QR code on the back of the portable charger to find the nearest JUUCE station in our app.
To return the portable charger – just insert it back into an empty slot in the station with the JUUCE logo facing upwards and the return arrow facing towards the station.
When you rent a portable charger from JUUCE, you may see a pre-authorization hold on your bank statement. This hold is temporary and serves as a security measure.
If you return the charger: The hold will be released immediately once the charger is returned to any JUUCE station. You’ll only be charged for the rental based on the specific rates of the station where you rented the charger. Please note that while we release the hold right away, it may take some time for your bank to reflect this change on your statement.
If you decide to keep the charger: The pre-authorization hold will convert into a finalized charge within 2-5 business days.

If the charger is not returned within 24 hours, then you effectively purchase it for the same rate as the pre-authorization hold charged at the initial time of rental. You can recharge and reuse it at home with a USB-C cable. We have a limit on the amount you will be charged which depends on the venue, so you will never be charged more than the initial pre-authorization hold.
No, you do not have to download an app. You can simply tap or insert your card on the station’s point of sale to rent. You can scan the QR code on the back of the portable charger to download our app to find stations to return the portable charger.
In this case, you will want to download and use the JUUCE app to locate stations near you. Once you are on the app, check locations in your area by clicking on the green location markers which will indicate if there are empty slots available to return your charger.
You might need to refresh the map to see up to date information on which stations have open return slots.
Make sure the portable charger is switched on by clicking the black button on the side of the portable charger. You will know it is on when you see three blue LED lights shine on the front of the portable charger indicating that it is on. We recommend removing a thick phone case to make sure the cable is fully plugged in. Please note, JUUCE portable chargers are smart batteries and will turn themselves off when not in use.
