Do we use organic produce?

We are 99% Organic, as it is difficult to guarantee 100% of our stock is Organic. All our produce is sourced locally within Ireland and we only use the best of ingredients. Our intention is to give you a 100% organic product unless  nature prevents us from doing so.

Organic food has much more anti-oxidants then regular food which link to better health. Not to mention a much reduced amount of toxic pesticides being ingested in to your body.

Health, taste and thought for the environment are the three main motivators for using organic produce. Researchers say that the increased level of anti-oxidant is equivalent to one/two portions of your daily fruit and vegetable intake.Which is quite significant if you were to eat organic produce every day.

It has been suggested that organic produce can lead to an increased intake of nutritionally desirable anti-oxidants and a much lower exposure rate to toxic metals and harmful pesticides.

The benefits of swapping to organic produce are said to be ;

What exactly is a juice cleanse?

Doing a juice cleanse has been said to ‘help unleash the natural healing power of your body by ridding it of built up toxins’.

Juicing floods your system with powerful nutrients and antioxidants. It may be the first step toward a long lasting lifestyle change, or to jump start a weight loss regime.

Pre Cleanse – Three day pre-cleanse. You should have an intake of at least eight glasses of water daily. In these three days you should eliminate all junk food and food with a high sugar content.

During Cleanse – You should start every day of your cleanse with a glass of water with a wedge of lemon. You take five juices throughout the day with three hour intervals.

Post Cleanse – Add solid foods back in gradually. Starting with fresh fruit and veg and graduating back in to meat and heavy carbs.

What is a raw food diet and the benefits?

A raw food diet is the consumption of unprocessed, whole plant based, ideally organic foods.

It is said the three quarters of the diet should consist of uncooked foods. If you eat a diet consisting mainly of uncooked foods you should receive significant results, from weight loss to enhancing your bodies ability to prevent and fight disease.

To maintain a diet this strict though is not ideal for the every day working man/woman. As much as we would all like to be healthier, convenience is important. So starting with reducing processed food and adding in juices to your diet is a very positive start to a healthier you. What are the benefits or raw green juice?

Juicing and blending breaks down the cell walls of vegetables/fruit. Greens are great in a salad, the problem with eating them raw is a our body lacks the enzyme required to break down the cell walls of a plant. So you are not extracting all the nutrients from the green vegetable.

However, when greens are juiced/blended their cell walls are broken down so you can consume the maximum nutrients within the cells.

Green plants are full of chlorophyll, one of the best things you can put in to you body. Chlorophyll is amazing for increasing oxygen in your body, which in turn gives you more energy as well as being a natural internal cleanser.

When you juice you take all the digestive work away from your body, making all the vital nutrients in your fruit and veg readily available for your body to absorb.

Why are juices and organic products so expensive?

You will find that all organic produce is pricey all over the world no matter where you shop. You are paying for a premium product.

Genuine organic ingredients and non pasteurized products are expensive to both produce and maintain.

To simplify it the main and only reason raw juice and products are expensive is because raw organic produce is expensive. You are paying for a quality product and you should feel the benefits in your health to justify the little extra cost.

What do vitamins do?

Your body requires vitamins in order to work properly, and it needs different vitamins to help perform specific activities like produce energy, protect cells from being damaged, regulate cell and tissue growth.

If your body doesn’t get enough of the vitamins it needs, it can lead to deficiencies and altered function that over time may turn into illness development.

Why do our Juices only have a three day shelf life? Are they safe to consume after the 72 hour mark?

All our juices are completely natural and are never pasteurized, leaving them highly perishable.

We cold press our juice which maximizes the shelf life without destroying any nutrients and goodness within the juice for up to three days. Each juice will have a drink by date, and we advise that after this date our juices are not to be consumed.

Why do juices separate?

As we don’t use any preservatives or additives, the juice you receive is in its natural state. Separation within juices/smoothies is perfectly normal.

As long as you take heed to the drink by date on your bottle, and keep it refrigerated at all times, then separation is not an indication of spoilage. Always keep your juices refrigerated.

What is cold pressed juicing?

Cold pressed juices are in other words called slow juicing where you are not damaging the vegetable/fruit as you are pressing it . Because the juice is pressed and not grinded it  doesn’t allow for oxidation to have taken place therefore retaining all nutrients,vitamins and enzymes. As opposed to other juicers,such as the centrifugal machine, that use fast rotating blades creating  a lot of heat which damages  all the goodness in your vegetables. It has been proven that heat damages the vital enzymes and nutrients that we are trying to extract from the juice in the first place. With cold pressing there is no spinning blade causing no heat or oxidation to occur. This is why cold pressing have a much higher nutrient content. This is the reason our fresh juices only last a couple of days is because we do not alter the natural product whatsoever . We never use additives, colourings or preservatives in our juices. To get the full benefit of juicing, the product needs to be fresh to give you the benefit of all the nutrients and antioxidants. This makes cold pressed juices the purest, most nutritious and delicious juice one can consume.
